Properties

This nickel-chromium-iron alloy presents a good resistance to hot temperature corrosion. That is why it is considered as a Classic material for the construction of industrial ovens. Alloy 600 is always used when high temperature gases contain elements of the halogens family.

Also used on conditions of wet corrosion.

The high chromium content of this alloy and the addition of aluminum confer it a remarkable resistance to oxidation up till 2192°F, to fuel gases and sulphurous atmospheres. These properties are linked with the existence of a protective coating of chromium and aluminum oxides presenting a very weak tendency to scaling under the influence of changeable thermal requests.

Superalloy nonmagnetic nickel base presenting a stability to corrosion and to exceptional oxidation. Thanks to the hardening in solid solution of the matrix nickel-chromium by the niobium and the molybdenum, the 625 has incredible mechanical resistance and tenacity from cryogenic temperatures to 2012°F. Excellent resistance to fatigue and corrosion cracking under constraints in the presence of chloride ions.

Properties

Nickel-chromium-iron-mobydene-copper alloy stabilized with titanium having a very good resistance to corrosion in sulfurous or phosphoric environment. That is why it is considered as the standard material for a use to the contract of the sulphuric acid. Alloy 825 also resists to general corrosion and to a large number of acid solutions and naphtenic acids. Use authorized in the manufacturing of pressure devices until approximately 797°F

This alloy has an excellent resistance to corrosion by injections, by cracks or under tension in a strongly oxidating environment (brass chloride or ferric chloride solutions, solutions with formic or acetic acid, contaminated hot mineral acids). It also resists very well to wet gaseous chlorine and oxide of chlorine and hypochlorite solutions.

Alloy K500 combines the excellente resistance to corrosion of alloy 400 in much higher mechanical characteristics obtained by structural hardening (triple elastic limit and double tensile strength compared with Alloy 400). Very good performance with corrosion/erosion and cracking corrosion under alternated requests. This alloy keeps a good pliability until -238°F
